When I had the opportunity to join the Tulsa Library Trust, I could not believe my good fortune. Libraries have always played an enormous role in my life, starting with my childhood library Bradford Memorial in Kansas. All those books, all that knowledge; the entire universe could be explored from its shelves. Author Neil Gaiman notes that a library and its wonders reveal something vitally important: “The world doesn’t have to be like this. Things can be different.”
Libraries have expanded to become so much more than books. Our twenty-four sites serve as community hubs where people know they can feel accepted and receive the information, training, and access they need to thrive and enrich their lives.
Tulsa Library Trust is proud to support the work of the Tulsa City-County Library. I hope you’ll take a moment to see some of the great programs and services we help to fund. I’d also like to invite you to make a gift so the Trust can continue partnering with TCCL to write a story of success that allows people to find the tools for richer lives and stronger communities.
