Bookmobile

In 2016, thanks to the generosity of Ruth K. Nelson, the Tulsa City-County Library purchased a new bookmobile. The 28-foot vehicle, holds 3,000 books and media materials for all ages. It serves more than 40 sites each month, covering more than 750 miles of Tulsa County.

Reading Roadshow

The Reading Roadshow is a vehicle that provides vital literacy services to underprivileged children from birth to six at two-star day care facilities in the Tulsa City-County area. The program promotes literacy and the joy of reading to better prepare preschoolers for kindergarten. This program is currently on hold while a new vehicle is being built. The new vehicle is generously being supported by the Waters Foundation.
